Outstanding Young Alumni Award

 

Nominate a HOBY alumnus for the Outstanding Young Alumni Award!

The HOBY Outstanding Young Alumni Award was created to recognize and honor HOBY alumni ages 25 and under for their outstanding accomplishments and service.

Recipients of this award have distinguished themselves as impactful leaders, having served in their schools, neighborhoods, and communities, started their own non-profits, and made a significant difference in the lives of others because of their HOBY experience.

Outstanding Young Alumni applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and selected to receive this prestigious award at a HOBY Leadership Award event. These events are currently hosted in (but not limited to) New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Chicago.

Who Qualifies?

        HOBY alumni ages 25 or under who:

  • Attended a HOBY Leadership Seminar, World Leadership Congress (WLC), Advanced Leadership Academy (ALA), Community Leadership Workshop (CLeW), or were an International Tour participant* and
  • Have completed a minimum of 100 Leadership for Service hours*
        *All information must be verifiable 

The Prize:

  • Trip for the winner and a guest to the Leadership Awards event (including airfare or drive expenses within the U.S.) and hotel accommodations for two the evening of the event
  • Four tickets (the honoree plus three guests) to the Leadership Awards event
  • $500 to be used either toward college/university tuition to continue education or to donate to a non-profit of choice

Key Dates:

  • Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis and will be considered throughout the year
  • Anyone may nominate an alumnus or you may nominate yourself
  • Winners must be present at the Leadership Awards event to accept their award
