Alumni Achievement Award

 

Know an outstanding HOBY alumnus? Nominate them!

HOBY’s Alumni Achievement Award was created to recognize outstanding HOBY alumni who have distinguished themselves as leaders in professional, social and philanthropic endeavors, and have exhibited this leadership with dignity and respect. Recipients of this award have made a significant difference in the lives of others and their community or workplace because of their leadership.

Alumni Achievement Award applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and selected to receive this prestigious award at a HOBY Leadership Award event. These events are currently hosted in (but not limited to) New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Chicago.

Who Qualifies?

  • HOBY alumni age 26 or over
  • Alumni who attended a HOBY Leadership Seminar, World Leadership Congress (formerly ILS), Advanced Leadership Academy (ALA), Community Leadership Workshop (CLeW), or International Tour participants
  • All information must be verifiable

The Prize:

  • Recognition at a HOBY Leadership Awards event
  • Inclusion in a press release of all honorees to be distributed to media
  • Featured on HOBY website and in collateral for event

The Application and What You'll Need:

  • Basic information
  • Essay questions
  • Headshot of nominee
  • Two-minute video of the nominee's accomplishments and how HOBY impacted the nominee (see details below)

Key Notes:

  • Anyone may nominate an alumnus or you may nominate yourself.
  • Honorees will be notified.
  • Upon acceptance of this award, the winner will be asked to work with HOBY to compile collateral, such as photos of service, voice-over, a bio, put together a video, etc.

Each Honoree will be asked to sell or purchase a minimum of four tickets to the event to support HOBY's fundraising goals which make our leadership programs possible.
